The Los Angeles based Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. are one of the early influential acts from the West Coast rap scene. Emerging from the same era of West Coast hip hop greats such as Cypress Hill and Ice Cube, the Boo Yaa T.R.I.B.E. are one of the more underground legendary acts, but command much respect from the hip hop community and hardcore hip hop fans. They are known for incorporating heavy metal and Funk into their hip hop.

Judgment Night Slaylist Thrash Hits

As it’s nearly Hallowe’en, we were going to rant about the soundtrack for Spawn: The Movie for this week’s Sunday Spotify Slaylist. It’s a rubbish movie adaptation of a painfully 90s-naff comic. It’s about Satan and is stuffed to the tits with bad horror imagery. And it’s got a soundtrack of collaborations featuring artists from across the spectrum of heavy metal and artists you’d never expect them to get together with. It’s infinitely more interesting and entertaining than the movie it accompanies.

And it’s not on Spotify. So we’re going to talk about another movie soundtrack where rock artists collaborated with other musicians to create…interesting results. We’re going to look at the music of Judgment Night instead.
