Is there anything better than a Thrash Hits Festival Splash Page? Yeah, loads of things but you won’t find the best online festival coverage on any of them. You’ll find that right here. All our work from Bloodstock Open 2012 is going be linked to from this page (eventually), so give it a bookmark or just don’t close it, because it’s all you’re going to need. Interviews, photos, setlists, rumours, and who knows? – maybe even some tiny reviews – it’s all here. [Read more →]
DripBack

Born from a basic desire to have an excuse to hang out more often with close friends Ted Maul guitarist Luca G-Drax invited ex-band mate, drummer Hellhog (currently of Pure Negative, ex-Labrat bass wizard Adam Da Rat, and the toxic duo of River Freshney's Lee4 (guitar) and Wez4 (vocals) to start jamming.
Dripback recorded their debut EP 'Inahling The Ashes' in a 48 hour gap in December 2010 with extreme metal wonder-producer 'Russ Russell'. The EP was released June 2011 via Siege Of Amida Records. Read more on Last.fm

Bloodstock Open Air 2012: DripBack @ Sophie Lancaster Stage – 11 August 2012
August 15th, 2012
They might’ve started as a doss-about band for various members of a whole host of noisy London-based bands of bastards, but DripBack meant serious business at Bloodstock Open Air 2012. With a new album due before the end of the year, and at least one of the band finding the energy to keep drinking until 5am on Saturday, DripBack are looking more and more like they’ve got the legs to turn into a tasty long-term prospect.
Live: Hammerfest IV – The Hammer of Thor – 17 March 2012
March 23rd, 2012
Well, he survived – and here’s the final proof. In the last of his three reports from Hammerfest IV, David Keevill pretends he didn’t have a permanent hangover, and reviews Oaf, Cerebral Bore, Mortad, DripBack, Hell, Amon Amarth, and – of course – Saturday night’s headliners, the almighty Skindred.
Sunday Slaylist: Hammerfest IV – The Hammer of Thor
March 11th, 2012
This time next week, our intrepid representatives at Hammerfest IV – The Hammer of Thor, will be slowly trying to recover from a weekend where the level of attention paid to the many heavy metal bands playing is directly (and inversely) proportional to the levels of booze being imbibed by them. How do we know they’ll be getting smashed rather than getting their mosh on? Well, because even if you headline your event with Anthrax and Skindred, we know for a fact that whenever more than one Thrash Hits contributor ends up in the same room at Pontin’s in Prestatyn, someone ends up puking. That’s not us trying to sound like a bunch of lads-on-tour kerrrrayyyzzzyy drunks either – that’s the raw statistics of Hammerfest talking.
In any case, we figured we’d put together a Hammerfest-themed Spotify Slaylist to start getting them in the mood nice and early.
There’s a new Dripback video for ‘Kick Out Time’
December 7th, 2011
Well, we were just sent the new Dripback video. ‘Kick Out Time’ is two minutes and forty-one seconds of five angry men in a dirty room interspersed with stolen news footage of those ruddy riots. You know Dripback stole the footage though. You know they did. We asked bassist, Adam Da Rat what it was all about…
Whose garage was this filmed in?
“Actually, it was filmed at a squat in South London hence the Sons Of Anarchy style backdrop. Everyone should go to more squat gigs.”
Season’s Bleedings 2011: Dripback – Adam Da Rat gets festive
December 1st, 2011
IT’S CHRISTMASSS. Well, it’s December. That means that Christmas is just 24 days away or whatever. Kicking off our annual round of shitty band interviews, is Dripback. We asked their star bassist, Adam Da Rat loads of stupid stuff and he threatens sexual assault. Our kinda guy.
Download Festival 2011: DripBack @ Red Bull Stage – Saturday, 11 June 2011
June 24th, 2011
It just wouldn’t be Download without Hugh getting bummed by/bumming a band. Instead of bumming Pepper Keenan, this time it’s his turn to be bummed, byAdam Da Rat, bassist for superb London grindcore lot, DripBack. Mmm, bumming. Mmm, sandwich.
Download Festival 2011 preview: the METAL picks
June 8th, 2011
Obviously, we previewed the three headliners – they’re the ones that sell the tickets, after all – but there are some awesome bands on the undercard as well. There’s always moaning that there’s no metal at Download Festival. These people obviously haven’t or are unable to read the line-up. That means that they probably won’t read about these 12 metal bands either but here’s some metal anyway. Stick it up your arse!
Future Hits 082: DripBack
June 1st, 2011
DripBack
From: London, UK
Lazy Equation: (grind + death metal + hardcore) – deathcore

Thrash Hits Verdict:
We caught the London quintet supporting Soilent Green in London a couple of weeks ago and were mightily impressed by their super-heavy metal. They pummelled seven shades of shit out of the crowd after all! Once we discovered DripBack contains ex and current members of Labrat, Ted Maul, River Freshney, and Pure Negative we had to have a chat with bassist, Adam Da Rat!
Live: Soilent Green + Dripback @ Camden Underworld – 05 May 2011
May 16th, 2011
It’s been over a decade since Soilent Green last performed on these shores and in that time they’ve gone from being a band in their own right to the side-project of a side-project. With Jimmy Bower so busy with Down, Eyehategod haven’t had too much time to tour – meaning that Brian Patton has had even less time for Soilent Green. Not to forget Ben Falgoust keeping busy fronting Goatwhore. We thought we’d go and rock out to Soilent Green while we had the chance…
