You know the drill by now. This is the Thrash Hits Festival Splash Page and this is where you’ll find some of the most comprehensive coverage of Bloodstock Open Air 2013 that you don’t have to pay for. It’s here!
Fozzy is a heavy metal band, fronted by professional wrestler Chris Jericho , and also including musicians from Stuck Mojo and on their recent album, guests from other established metal bands.
Fozzy started out as Fozzy Osbourne, a cover band assembled by Rich Ward from whatever musicians he could find on a given week.
In 1999, Jericho met Ward in San Antonio after a wrestling show, and was invited to play with the band. Jericho sat in on a few sessions, but did not plan to play with them permanently. Read more on Last.fm

Not wanting to be left behind in the big game of announcing-your-2013-headliners-as-early-as-possbile, today Bloodstock Open Air confirmed that King Diamond will be headlining the Friday night of their festival next year. The King join the previously-announced quartet of Anthrax, Fozzy, Firewind and Accept over on the bill over at Catton Hall, which in 2013 takes place on the weekend of 08-11 August. Early Bird Weekend Tickets are on sale now for the bargain price of £100, so if you want to save a few quid for a new Merciful Fate t-shirt in time for next August, now would be a good time to cough up some cash.

It’s that time of year again – it’s the return of the Thrash Hits Download Festival splash page for 2012! All of our Download coverage from across the entire weekend will be linked to on this here post, so make sure you bookmark it as it’s all you’re going to need. That means individual band coverage in the form of photos and setlists, as well as reviews of each day’s highlights, every scandalous rumour and dirty bit of gossip that we overhear, and every outrageous photo of muddy debauchery that our photographers can get their lenses on.

Backstage at Download Festival 2012, Hugh was trying to interview Chris Jericho, WWE Superstar and frontman of FOZZY, only Chris forgot to turn his phone off and it caused all manner of problems with our microphone. OH CHRIS. We forgive him though, even if he did tell us off camera that he thought our logo said “Thrash Hats” (FAO Chris: please don’t unleash the codebreaker on us, thnx).

If you get up very early in the morning, you’ll have spotted that Download Festival‘s head promoter, Andy Copping, announced another 22 bands for this year’s festival via his Twitter account this morning. And as you’d expect from such a large announcement, it’s a mix of old and new, big and small, and awesome and just plain awful.

We very this close to accepting a bet to ask Chris Jericho of Fozzy to put Raz into The Walls Of Jericho, but then we realised just how dangerous and irresponsible it is to ask a professional wrestler to demonstrate moves on untrained journalists. So we just stuck to chatting about his Mum, and why he digs Sting playing the lute. As you do.

Is there anything better than a Thrash Hits Festival Splash Page? Yeah, loads of things but you won’t find the best online festival coverage on any of them. You’ll find that right here.
All our work from Sonisphere Festival 2011 is going be linked to from this page (eventually), so give it a bookmark or just don’t close it, because it’s all you’re going to need. Individual band coverage (interviews, photos, setlists and some tiny reviews), rumours, drinking games, stage times, dodgy photos of as many sexy ladies in various states of safe-for-work undress as we can legitimately get away with? It’s all here.
