Yesterday we published part 1 and part 2 of our contributors’ Albums of the Year lists, but today we’re moving on to our editorial team. First up is our #NoFunClub Deputy Editor, mischief-maker, and all-round bitter old fraud: Hugh Platt.
Raz is back in “the studio” for this week’s podcast, where he joins Hugh in looking back at the best albums of 2012 so far. There’ll be bands you’ve heard of, bands you’ve never heard of, and bands you’ve criminally under-rated up until now because they had stupid names. We’ve got the lot.
We still want your feedback on this one, so please take a moment to send us your thoughts via email, by posting a comment down below, or by bellowing at us over Facebook or Twitter. And for Satan’s sake, go and subscribe to our podcast over on iTunes.

There’s something about the way the debut record from Human Toilet makes me feel that seems to makes me want to follow up every sentence in this review by typing the short, but succinctly direct two-word sentence epithet of “FUCK YOU”. Just how there isn’t a direct English translation for Schadenfreude, there isn’t a nice, easy to use phrase that means angry-at-your-audience-because-no-matter-how-often-you-urge-them-to-listen-to-this-band-they’ve-never-heard-of-they-never-will. In such instances, the abrupt and inarticulate “FUCK YOU” is all I’ve got to work with.
