Oh it’s been away for a while, but Sonisphere Festival has returned to the UK and is less than one whole week away. We cannot wait. We are excited. There are loads of our favourite bands playing at the magnificent Knebworth Park, which is why in time-honoured tradition, we’ve gone and made ourselves a Sunday Spotify Slaylist of some of the bands we really want to see next weekend to get us well and truly in the mood for Sonisphere’s comeback weekend.
Hundred Reasons are a British rock band from Farnborough, Hampshire, formed in 1999. Originally signed to Columbia Records in mid-April 2001 after fourteen months of near-constant touring.
Their debut album Ideas Above Our Station reached number 6 in the UK album chart, spawned several Top 40 singles and has since gone gold in the UK. The band went on to tour extensively throughout Europe and Japan. Despite selling 35,000 copies of their second album Shatterproof Is Not A Challenge they were dropped by Sony BMG in June 2004. Hundred Reasons on Thrash Hits
December 5th, 2012
That promo photo above is the only shot of Hundred Reasons in this review of their celebratory tour with Hell Is For Heroes and Cable as they wouldn’t let us publish any of them playing live. Nevertheless, Ruth Booth pulled on her old Criminal Damage flares and reviewed 2012’s biggest British alt-rock anniversary get-together.
Six things we learned when Hundred Reasons, Hell Is For Heroes and Cable came to Manchester:

Hevy Festival have added another 24 bands to their 2012 bill, including the winners of this year’s Redbull Bedroom Jam competition. They’ve also announced the provisional day splits for the bands they’ve announced so far, which give an indication of how many more bands the festival plans on announcing before it all kicks off at the start of August.

Are we really half way through 2009 already? Apparently so. Feeling confused about the six months just gone, and the six left to go? Thrash Hits is here to guide you – well, through the next four weeks, at least.
For those of you lucky enought to live alongside Thrash Hits in London town, tonight sees the launch of Someone’s Yelling Fire, a new punk/hardcore/metal/screamo/emo night at the recently-reopened Highbury Garage. Get there early enough and you’ll be able to catch live sets from The Xcerts, Save Your Breath and Flood of Red. Get their later, and you get to see Thrash Hits staffers collapse at the bar following an excess of beers. Double trouble! And just a fiver to boot.

Surrey alt-rockers, Hundred Reasons, are set to hit the road in 2009 for their first tour in over a year. It’s all in aid of the re-release of their fourth album, Quick The Word, Sharp The Action. They’re even throwing in four new tracks to sweeten the deal for anyone out there who bought it the first time round.
