Ignite is a melodic hardcore punk band from Orange County, California, USA that formed in 1993. Much of their music is socially and politically aware. The band is highly connected to the straight edge scene because of past members being straight edge. Ignite actively support, and has given proceeds to organizations such as Earth First, Doctors Without Borders, Sea Shepherd, AMI and Pacific Wildlife. Hevy Festival 2012 Thrash Hits

Hevy Festival have added another 24 bands to their 2012 bill, including the winners of this year’s Redbull Bedroom Jam competition. They’ve also announced the provisional day splits for the bands they’ve announced so far, which give an indication of how many more bands the festival plans on announcing before it all kicks off at the start of August.
