Jairus was an indie/post-hardcore band from Kent, UK. Formed in October 2001 by guitarist Dan Lucas and vocalist Adam Bray.

Between October 2001 and December 2002 Jairus toured throughout the UK, gaining a large fanbase in a very short period of time, and were consequently signed to UK hardcore label Skipworth Records, who released their debut album The Need To Change The Mapmaker in 2004. Since, Jairus have toured throughout the UK, Europe and Japan and have released a self-titled EP and a split SINGLE with Japanese band The Stiff. Read more on Last.fm

It’s Friday, we’re not as Glastonbury (unsurprisingly) and even though we’re typing this before 8am in the morning, we’re already getting ourselves psyched-up for Friday night. You know what always gets us more stoked for the weekend? Free music. And today we have recently reformed post-hardcore mob Jairus to thank for that, courtesy of their free giveaway of their Build My Gallows High EP.
