Khoma is a Swedish post-rock band. Hailing from Umeå, home town to an array of Swedish talent (Cult of Luna, Refused, Meshuggah, International Noise Conspiracy etc), the seeds of Khoma were sown over a decade ago while the three founding members of the band Jan Jämte, Fredrik Kihlberg and Johannes Persson were all still at college together. Melding the aggression of the long established local hardcore scene with the burgeoning, more diverse pop scene, Khoma was born. Read more on

Back in 2002 there was a band brewing in northern Sweden that had members who, despite being involved in other projects already, felt a pull towards this more socially aware and more highly politicised side project.
