Well, by the second day of Hevy Festival 2011, both Tomas Doyle (words) or Ben Gibson (photos) were still standing, despite pre-festival promises to mosh till they dropped and/or died. Make Do and Mend
Make Do And Mend is a ska / oldies band from West Hartford, CT, formed in 2006, and now living in Cape Cod, MA. They first released a 9-track EP (We're All Just Dying) in 2002, and then a follow-up EP (Bodies Of Warm Water). They gave it for free online, and then Panicing Records called to help out with an official release, which came true in March 2009 (with the help of producer / rapper Dr. Dre). Let’s keep it brief and stick to the facts – Hevy Festival 2011 has confirmed that it has booked Make Do And Mend and Defeater for the long-windedly titled Rock Sound x MacBeth stage for the Saturday and Sunday of this year’s festival respectively.
