You know what cliche we really, really hate here at Thrash Hits? It’s when in an interview a band describes their new album as being “heavier, but more melodic”. Do you know what that really means? Nothing. It’s just bands flapping their gums because they can’t think of anything interesting to say to a journalist who can’t think of any interesting questions to ask. Northern Ireland’s Making Monsters, on the other hand, will never have to tip-toe around the issue of balancing these two often-conflicting concepts as they’ve already got it down tight.
