It’s just a few short weeks away now – Damnation Festival 2013 is (once again) going to be the heavy music event of the Winter here in the UK. We’re going to be heading up to Leeds University in force come 02 November, but until then, we’ve put together a Sunday Spotify Slaylist to hype us up for what’s (once again) one of the best one-dayer metal fest line-ups the UK has ever seen.
Mourning Beloveth is an Irish death/doom metal band from Athy, Kildare. It was formed in 1992 by Darren Moore (vocals), Frank Brennan (guitars, clean vocals), Brian Delaney (bass and guitars) and Timmy Johnson (drums).
Though it was not until 1996 that they had recorded their first untitled demo Burden when the band finally came together. Burden was recorded in eight hours with Adrian Butler at the desk. This demo contains only two songs, and it is a raw indication of where Mourning Beloveth stands in the death/doom metal scene today. Read more on Last.fm
