Run-D.M.C. was an influential hip hop group from Hollis, in the Queens borough of New York City. Founded by Joseph "DJ Run" Simmons, Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels, and Jason "Jam-Master Jay" Mizell, the group is arguably the most important and influential act in the history of hip hop. They were the biggest act in hip-hop throughout the 1980s and is credited with breaking hip hop into mainstream music. Judgment Night Slaylist Thrash Hits

As it’s nearly Hallowe’en, we were going to rant about the soundtrack for Spawn: The Movie for this week’s Sunday Spotify Slaylist. It’s a rubbish movie adaptation of a painfully 90s-naff comic. It’s about Satan and is stuffed to the tits with bad horror imagery. And it’s got a soundtrack of collaborations featuring artists from across the spectrum of heavy metal and artists you’d never expect them to get together with. It’s infinitely more interesting and entertaining than the movie it accompanies.

And it’s not on Spotify. So we’re going to talk about another movie soundtrack where rock artists collaborated with other musicians to create…interesting results. We’re going to look at the music of Judgment Night instead.
