Stone Sour is an American rock band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1992. The band performed for five years before disbanding in 1997. They reunited in 2000 and since 2015, the group has consisted of Corey Taylor (lead vocals, guitar), Josh Rand (guitar), Christian Martucci (guitar), Johny Chow (bass) and Roy Mayorga (drums). Longtime members Joel Ekman (drums, percussion) and Shawn Economaki (bass guitar) left the band in 2006 and 2011, respectively. Former lead guitarist Jim Root left in 2014. Read more on

Japan’s a funny old country. I don’t mean this in a sneering, xenophobic, “Oh, look at the silly foreigners,” kind of way – I am extremely fortunate to live here and enjoy the hospitality of the country and its people. What I mean is that from a completely objective standpoint a lot of things go down here that seem to teeter on the edge of sanity.

I’m talking Pepsi-flavoured Cheetos and nightmare-inducing “cute” mascots (can you guess what this fella is selling?!). Oh and hey, you’re worried about a little bit of horsemeat finding its way into your hamburger? What about if it found its way into your ice cream? ON PURPOSE.

We love Christmas more than most Swedish death metal bands love their beards, and now Slipknot frontman, Corey Taylor, has given us yet another reason to talk about it. In case you think Corey might be going soft, rest assured that ‘X-M@$’ isn’t that kind of Christmas song – after all, it features such choice lyrics as “fa-la-la-la, go fuck yourself”.
