The Mire was a progressive post-metal band that formed in 2009 from Brighton, UK originally featuring members of celebrated UK underground acts Centurion and Bossk. The band broke up in late 2015.

The Mire released their final EP, 'Vice Regalia', on November 13, 2015 digitally through bandcamp.

On February 2nd 2014 The Mire released their first full-length album 'Glass Cathedrals' digitally via bandcamp.

The Mire's self produced CD/EP, 'Volume: II' was released by Eyesofsound on December 13th 2010 through iTunes. Read more on Last.fm

Formed from the ashes of hardcore mob Centurion, the progressive stylings of The Mire first came to our attention when the lovely chaps over at EyesOfSound bunged a copy of their Volume:I EP in with our order when we bought our copy of the Astrohenge’s album. With the band taking to the stage at Damnation Festival this coming weekend, we thought it the perfect time to introduce them to you too.
