Winnebago Deal

Winnebago Deal started life as a four piece band in 1999 at Bartholomew School, in Eynsham (Oxford, UK), though two of the original members left shortly after. Winnebago currently consists of two Bens, Ben Perrier (vocals, guitar) and Ben Thomas (drums).

The two Bens generated strong support from local youth center gigs and many appearances at Oxford's Zodiac club, eventually supporting Fugazi at London's Forum, this lead to their first record, the Plata O Plomo EP in 2003. Read more on

If you remember Winnebago Deal from the first time around (they formed in 1999, toured with everyone from Blood Brothers to Mondo Generator and had the spirit of punk rock etched into their veins while still picking up major plaudits) then chances are you won’t need telling how brilliant they were, and now continue to be. If, after a four year absence, this review merely serves to give you a heads up that the barnstorming duo are back then you are welcome. Enjoy – shit’s as good as it ever was.

Winnebago Deal catch the Christmas Spirit

December 22nd, 2008

Winnebago Deal, our favourite Oxford-based noisesmiths, have gone and caught the Christmas Spirit. No, they’ve not been found drunk in a ditch, greased up with brandy butter and dressed in stolen Santa costumes – they’ve gone and stuck a load of Christmas tunes over on their MySpace page.  So if you’ve ever wanted to hear some fuzzed-up, punked-off versions of ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town’ or ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’, well, the wait is over.

Winnebago Deal ready new album

August 15th, 2008

Oxford hard rockers, Winnebago Deal have announced they have been busy recording their as-yet-untitled fourth album.

They debuted some tracks at recent shows at London’s Old Blue Last on 4 July 2008 and at a last minute appearance at Truck Festival on 22 July 2008.

Ben Perrier, singer and guitarist for The Deal said: “We’ve been quiet but have been honing the next WD album and it shits all over anything we’ve done before – a lot more actual songs but not in a pussy way. It’s gonna be full of ‘hits’!”

We can’t bloody wait! Especially if it’s anywhere near as good as their last effort, Flight Of The Raven.
