It feels like the debut album from Arcane Roots has been a long time coming. We mean a long, long, long time coming. It has been literally years since we first started hearing people talk up this band, but their debut only saw a release this week. We like The Armed. We like them a lot. We like how they give away free, lossless digital versions of all their music just because they want to. We love that they do this so their music can be unrestrained by anything even slightly approaching commercial concerns. We love that they sound like the angriest bits of The Dillinger Escape Plan roaring bitter fury at a tornado.
