It’s time for another Thrash Hits festival splash page – and this time it’s for Hammerfest 2014. All of our coverage from the weekend will be linked to on this here post, so make sure you bookmark it as it’s all you’re going to need. Yep. That means individual band coverage (photos, setlists and so on), all the dodgy rumours and awful gossip our team overhears, and every single photo of Wales-based debauchery that Gary Wolstenholme and Jenn McCambridge snap will be here.

Hammerfest VI: Kreator – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
Headlining the Saturday night of Hammerfest 2014 were German thrash legends Kreator. It’s pretty hard to go wrong with dependable Teutonic thrash as the a headline act of a boozy, indoor metal festival.
Hammerfest VI: Corrosion of Conformity – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
Corrosion of Conformity added some much needed US-style swampy sludgy riff action to Hammerfest 2014. Tasty.
Hammerfest VI: Throne – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
As bug-eyed, cooler-than-cool doom trios go, there weren’t any better at Hammerfest 2014 than London’s very own Throne. Yep.
Hammerfest VI: God Damn – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
God Damn were a last-minute addition to the Hammerfest 2014 line-up, but by gosh, were they a welcome one. God Damn remain one of those one-to-watch bands that ooze so much potential that they’re practically dripping with it.
Hammerfest VI: Druganaut – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
Sometimes we get sent a gallery of photos by one of our snappers that makes us not want to know anything else about a band. Druganaut are one such band. Anything we learn couldn’t possibly live up to the facial expressions of their frontman at Hammerfest 2014.
Hammerfest VI: Gloryhammer – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
Even among the gaggle of ridiculous bands at Hammerfest 2014, Gloryhammer stand head, shoulders and armour above all the others.
Hammerfest VI: Unleashed – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
Swedish death metal doesn’t come much more reliable than Unleashed. Check out our gallery of photos of their performance at Hammerfest 2014.
Hammerfest VI: Grand Magus – Friday, 14 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
We’re pretty sure Grand Magus couldn’t not be a heavy metal band. As in: can you imagine JB Christoffersson workin as an estate agent? Or a parking ticket inspector? No, no you can’t. Just look how ridiculously heavy metal they looked at Hammerfest 2014.
Hammerfest VI: Soilwork – Friday, 14 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
Having just released their new album, The Living Infinite, Soilwork are hitting the road all over Europe to promote it. Hammerfest 2014 was their first stop on their run at promoting it here in the UK.
