We very this close to accepting a bet to ask Chris Jericho of Fozzy to put Raz into The Walls Of Jericho, but then we realised just how dangerous and irresponsible it is to ask a professional wrestler to demonstrate moves on untrained journalists. So we just stuck to chatting about his Mum, and why he digs Sting playing the lute. As you do.

Sonisphere Festival 2011: Interviews, Photos, Setlists – it’s all here

Is there anything better than a Thrash Hits Festival Splash Page? Yeah, loads of things but you won’t find the best online festival coverage on any of them. You’ll find that right here.

All our work from Sonisphere Festival 2011 is going be linked to from this page (eventually), so give it a bookmark or just don’t close it, because it’s all you’re going to need. Individual band coverage (interviews, photos, setlists and some tiny reviews), rumours, drinking games, stage times, dodgy photos of as many sexy ladies in various states of safe-for-work undress as we can legitimately get away with? It’s all here.

Sonisphere Festival 2011: My Passion @ Bohemia Stage – Friday, 08 July 2011

We might take the piss out of My Passion for a lot of things, but one thing we’ll always give them is that they know how to give a good interview. If we’re going to be poking a band’s proverbial bollocks for 10 minutes, it all goes so much smoother when the subject of said poking gets the joke. Last year it was Mike Patton, this year it’s Jas Mann and Afroman – check it out after the jump.

Sonisphere Festival 2011: Exit Ten @ Jägermeister Stage – Sunday, 10 July 2011

July 25th, 2011

Ryan Redman Exit Ten Thrash Hits

Exit Ten seem to have been away for aaaaggggeeessss, so it was good to see the crowds at Sonisphere Festival 2011 hadn’t forgotten who they were. We cornered them backstage and baffled them with talk of the Reading one-way system, and with debate on the merits of the music from Highlander as suitable funeral music. [Read more →]

Sonisphere Festival 2011: Glamour Of The Kill @ Bohemia Stage – Friday, 08 July 2011

We know we’ve been talking a lot about funerals during our backstage interviews at Sonisphere Festival 2011, but we weren’t expecting Glamour Of The Kill to have planned their own send-off in quite so much detail. Whiskey shots and high-5s next to an open coffin? Count us in – sounds a hell of a lot more fun than some birthday parties we’ve been to.

Sonisphere Festival 2011: Sylosis @ Apollo Stage – Saturday, 09 July 2011

Sometimes people accuse Thrash Hits of not taking our music journalism seriously. Well, we expect that to change after people see our interview with Sylosis backstage at Sonisphere Festival 2011. Who else is finding out if Reading thrash bands have seen certain TV movie adaptations of Stephen King novels? No-one else, that’s who.
