Our resident London photographer, Ben Gibson is a massive emo. This has led to him being in love with Essex emos, We Are The Ocean. They released their second album, Go Now And Live last week and they coincidentally played a headline show in Camden last week as well with Watford emos, Lower Than Atlantis and French hardcore lot, Vera – the odd ones out by not being even vaguely wet sounding. Ben went and took photos.

Sacred Mother Tongue have well and truly arrived. Since forming in 2004 these guys have rocketed through the local pub/club circuit, gradually stamping their own mark on the metal scene. A debut EP in 2007 Revenge Is Personal made sure the media and fans stood up and listened. The first single from the debut album, ‘Two Thousand Eight Hundred’ whetted the appetite and was quite simply huge, a battle cry of a wake-up call to the current metal scene.
