We’ve talked about Kvelertak quite a lot here on Thrash Hits recently. We published an interview with them earlier this week. Today we’re publishing some photos from the Sheffield gig of their current UK tour. It’s almost like they’ve got a new album to promote, or something.

SABATON! We’re pretty sure we used the exact same intro text last time we wrote about a photo gallery of their live shows here on Thrash Hits. SABATON! Doesn’t it just roll off the tongue? SABATON! In fact, the only thing that’s really new about this photo feature is the line-up of the band, given that Joakim Brodén is the only member of SABATON still in the band from when we last featured them.

About five minutes after Gary Wolstenholme emailed us his incredible photos from the Sheffield show of Baroness’ recent UK tour, we got the news that the band had been involved in a horrific bus crash just outside of Bath. And we were torn. We really wanted to show these incredible shots off to the world, but at the same time we didn’t want to seem ghoulish and trying to capitalise on the publicity of the tragedy. Well, since the band are now all safely out of hospital – and given that all of the band’s tour dates for the rest of 2012 have been cancelled – we figured now was the time for us to show you these awesome shots in all their awesome glory.
Yeah, we used “awesome” twice in one sentence. Baroness are that kind of band.

“Delain? Does anyone really even care about Delain?” Someone said that to us this week. To that we answered: “Well, personally speaking, it’s not really our cup of tea, but some people like them, as otherwise they wouldn’t be able to fly over to the UK and play shows here, right?”. We then followed it up with: “And that’s why Gary Wolstenholme went along to the Sheffield show of their recnt UK tour that’s just finished, and took a load of photos for us”.

When Brighton metalcore-ish types, Architects, went on tour across the UK earlier this month, we didn’t just have one photographer covering it. Oh no. We had two. In the first batch of shots we’ve got from the tour, we’re bringing you the snaps taken by the mighty Gary Wolstenholme, from when the tour rolled in to the Sheffield Corporation.

Your Demise released their fourth studio album last month, and so obviously they’re out on the road, playing shows in support of it. That’s just what bands do, right? Around the time they released the album in question The Golden Age, a load of kids in New Era caps got butthurt on Tumblr because Your Demise had sold out or something. I guess these fans didn’t really number all that many though, as from what we could tell, these shows were selling out too (but in the good way).

It seems that we can’t get enough of The Black Dahlia Murder and Skeletonwitch’s UK tour. Not only did about half our writing staff pile into the Camden Underworld when the tour hit London, but our photographer in chief, Gary Wolstenholme, was on hand to snap it when the tour arrived in his native Sheffield. His sexy, sexy pictures are just after the jump.

Prog-sludge crazies, Baroness, might be finishing their UK tour tonight in Brighton, but a few days ago in Sheffield, Thrash Hits snapper Gary Wolstenholme snuck up till he was close enough to make out every hair in John Baizley’s magnificent beard, and got a few pictures of the band tearing The Corporation a new one.
