Earthtone 9

Go download Earthtone9’s free compilation. NOW.

June 1st, 2010

Yeah yeah yeah, we’ve been rabbiting on about earthtone9 getting back together a lot recently. Well, what do you expect, given that we were the one’s who confirmed the rumours were true and the band was playing together again?

Anyway, the band have brought forward the release of the free-to-download compilation album, Inside, Embers Glow…, and you can get your grubby mitts on it right damn now. If you head on over to www.earthtone9.co.uk, all you have to do is hand over your email address and BANG – you’ll be sent a link to download the whole thing for nowt.

Of course, we’d also recommend shelling out the ludicriously cheap asking price of £5.99 for the limited-run digipak version of the album. It might encourage the band to, y’know, maybe record something new?

April 20th, 2010

For Brighton-based Brit-supergroup Blackstorm, it was their first gig of the year; for the venue, The Hobgoblin, it was it’s last gig ever. To record this momentous occasion, our man Andy Parker was on hand for both words and pictures.

You’ve got to be pretty bold in this day and age to have your first gig of the year 4 months in, but when you have the pedigree of the swaggering creature that’s known as Blackstorm, you really don’t care. When your founding line-up can boast past and present membership of earthtone9, The Ghost Of A Thousand, The Fall of Efrafa, Twin Zero, Skull Dozer, The Blueprint, This Is Menace, and Thrown To The Wolves, you can afford to take your time.
