We like a massive feud as much as the next person – after all, ridiculous band-drama is our bread and butter here at Thrash Hits – but this ongoing Bill Ward/Black Sabbath situation is really starting to get ridiculous. As soon as we’ve posted one missive from a band member on the situation, another one pops up. And being the (ir)responsible website that we are, we have to keep posting them.

Y’know when Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler released that terse little statement yesterday, saying they weren’t going to respond at length to Bill Ward’s prior essay on the ins and outs of why he wasn’t going to be part of this year’s Black Sabbath reunion? Well, it turns out they’ve responded to it in a different way.

And it’s one of the pettiest, most childish – and admittedly, inventive – ways imaginable.

Well, this another one of those news pieces where the title pretty much says it all. Black Sabbath – i.e., Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler – have released a statement in response to the large statement made by Bill Ward yesterday, when he ruled himself out of the Black Sabbath reunion over contract issues.

And in contrast to Ward’s piece, the statement from the three other founder members of Black Sabbath is…well….remarkably short.

Kyuss Lives!…but for how much longer? Josh Homme files lawsuit against former bandmates

Uh-oh. Remember when John Garcia and Brant Bjork announced their plans to tour the world under the Kyuss Lives! moniker, playing songs written when they were both members of Kyuss? They even recruited Nick Oliveri on bass (until he, err, decided to take on an LA SWAT team in that is) on bass to make it seem even more legit.

Well, news has arisen today that Josh Homme, the only absentee member of the classic Kyuss line-up not included in Kyuss Lives!, and Scott Reeder, the Kyuss bassst who KL! recruited after Nick Oliveri…err…decided to pick a fight with an entire LA SWAT team, have filed a lawsuit against their former Kyuss bandmates alleging trademark infringement, misrepresentation, and a whole heap else besides. Oo-er!
