Editor’s Note: our man Tomas Doyle went and wrote this review back when Doyle Airence were known just as plain old Doyle. About a day after he handed it in, Doyle, the former Misfits guitarist, threatened to sue them unless they changed their name. Hence: Doyle Airence. Cue: a perfectly good joke ruined. Still, we made the poor bugger write it, so the least you can do is read it (and imagine that the band are still called “Doyle”.

Remember Bastions? That band that we’ve told you about many, many times before, the band who we’ve urged you again and again to make the effort to go and see play live, ASA-‘effing-P? we are the ocean thrash hits 2010 promo photo band cutting our teeth

They released their second album, Go Now And Live last week and they coincidentally played a headline show in Camden last week as well with Watford emos, Lower Than Atlantis and French hardcore lot, Vera – the odd ones out by not being even vaguely wet sounding. Ben went and took photos.

Why have I just spent 2 minutes of my life watching Sepultura grease themselves up?

July 19th, 2010

…because it’s all part of a tour diary Sepultura made while playing in Sète, a town in the south of France, earlier this month, that’s why. Why exactly are they all greasing each other off? Well, if you put a Brazilian metal band next to the Mediterranean Sea at the height of summer, you can’t expect them to not go down the beach, now can you?
