Hammerfest VI: Throne – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
As bug-eyed, cooler-than-cool doom trios go, there weren’t any better at Hammerfest 2014 than London’s very own Throne. Yep.
Hammerfest VI: God Damn – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
God Damn were a last-minute addition to the Hammerfest 2014 line-up, but by gosh, were they a welcome one. God Damn remain one of those one-to-watch bands that ooze so much potential that they’re practically dripping with it.
Hammerfest VI: Druganaut – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
Sometimes we get sent a gallery of photos by one of our snappers that makes us not want to know anything else about a band. Druganaut are one such band. Anything we learn couldn’t possibly live up to the facial expressions of their frontman at Hammerfest 2014.
Hammerfest VI: Unleashed – Saturday, 15 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
Swedish death metal doesn’t come much more reliable than Unleashed. Check out our gallery of photos of their performance at Hammerfest 2014.
Hammerfest VI: Collisions – Friday, 14 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
There aren’t many ways to get into our good books quicker than wearing a Judge Dredd t-shirt onstage. Congratulations, Collisions – at Hammerfest 2014 you found the magic formula.
Hammerfest VI: Paragon – Friday, 14 March 2014
March 16th, 2014
One day scientists will discover just what it is about the inherent silliness of power metal that makes Germans both love to both perform and consume it so much. Sadly, no such scientists were on hand to explain it to us when Paragon played Hammerfest 2014.

Live + Photos: Hammerfest V – 16 March 2013
March 16th, 2013
Day 3 of Hammerfest is traditionally the “oh my God no more booze NO” day – did our man David Keevill survive?
6 things we learned on Day 3 of Hammerfest V:
Hammerfest 2013: Napalm Death – Saturday, 16 March 2013
March 16th, 2013
Napalm Death are the dependable grandfathers of grind. Not sure they’d be happy with that description but hey, we just said it anyway. They were bloody noisy at Hammerfest 2013, regardless.
