We’ve shown you what Raz and Hugh’s albums of the year are, but they’re not the only ones responsible for the Thrash Hits Top 20 Albums of 2011. Oh no. We’ve got a whole load of contributors – writers, photographers, and miscellaneous behind-the-scenes types – that help keep Thrash Hits running smoothly, and the albums they loved the most from 2011 matter just as much as those favoured by the boss men.

I may have just spoilt the incredible fun of reading my list. Anyway… the other nine albums on this list are wicked as well. Buy them all.

The votes are in, the arguments have been settled, and the fights concluded without too much bloodshed – The Thrash Hits Top 20 Albums of 2011 list is here. We polled all of our writers, photographers, and contributors as to what their favourite records of the year have been, and through a series of complex mathematical formulae, we’ve calculated the 20 albums that have come out on top.

Awesome Norwegian rockers, Wolves Like Us are touring the UK with Kvelertak next week. We’ve listened to their debut album, Late Love literally dozens of times because it’s really that good. They’ve released a spooky video to ‘Secret Handshakes’, a song off that album. You should watch it. They’re in a forest with a scary little girl.

Spawned from the remains of folded Norwegian bands such as Amulet and JR Ewing, Oslo’s Wolves Like Us first caught our ears in 2010. Their debut album, Late Love is 40 minutes of grand, pounding, desert rock-influenced hardcore. It’s good. It’s very, very good.
