This is the week Sempiternal was meant to be released before those damned leakers leaked the crap out of Bring Me The Horizon‘s excellent fourth album. This is the London leg of their release tour and if you’re thinking, “Oh, they’re only playing Koko,” it’s because this is a special intimate show. We crowbarred our way into the gig.

What is tonight? In an ideal world, it should have been an intimate homecoming/warm-up show ahead of a massive headline set at Download Festival 2012 but instead the headlines only talk about contract disputes and the naysayers talk about the possibility of Black Sabbath being utterly awful tonight due to myriad reasons (Ozzy being Ozzy, Tony Iommi’s battle with cancer). Ultimately, the godfathers of heavy metal are playing to 3000 people in their hometown. Let’s take it at face value for now…

Hellfire to return in May 2010

After their large-scale shindigs in London and Birmingham last year, Hellfire Festival has announced it’s first event for 2010: The Hellfire Club. This time they’re taking over Club Revolution in Peterborough for 3 days of the first in a series of smaller-in-scale but just-as-fucking-loud events.
