Their first instalment features the cathartic tones on the incredible Amenra alongside their fellow Belgian countrymen VVOVNDS (pictured above), and other planned releases will see Scott Kelly, Primitive Man, Alkerdeel and Hessian lined up against each other.

Everyone loves TV, don’t they? They do. Sports are great, soap operas are staple Antipodean exports and the news is a depressing tirade of war and famine, but with politics and innuendo hidden deep within their bite-sized storylines, are television series. You get boxsets and live-tweeting, comedy and drama, but everyone’s got a favourite type. Kvelertak spent the best part of three years touring their debut album around the world. As such, they had a lot of spare time on their hands, so they watched a lot of TV. Here are their favourite shows.

This week’s episode of Vice/Marshall’s third series of On The Road sees Jesse Hughes from the Eagles of Death Metal escape the Midlands to go chat to Steve “Krusher” Joule, the man responsible for that “interesting” cover art for their Born Again record you can see up above, as well as take a tour of Rockfield Studios in Wales, where Sabbath recorded on several occasions. We’ve been banging on about Vice’s On The Road series recently, but their sister-site, Noisey, has just started showing a new three-part documentary series titled One Man Metal, giving a somewhat more dramatic title to the sub-subgenre it is showcasing – that which more often than not gets referred to as Bedroom Black Metal.
