In keeping with our ongoing theme of Winter metal-fest themed Sunday Slaylists, we were going to put something together today to herald the impending (and quite frankly magnificent-looking) Live Evil Festival 2013. We say “were”, because yesterday while bumming around on the internet, we found out that Dylan Hughes aka A Fist In The Face Of God got there first. And made a better mix than we ever could.

Sometimes, just sometimes, a gig comes together with a line-up that’s so bang on with what yanks your crank that it makes you question why other gigs can’t be so goo. Then sometimes, just sometimes, stupid work commitments pop-up, and you end up missing Weedeater, Saviours, Black Cobra and Pombagira tearing it up in a tiny sweatbox basement just down the road.
It’s enough to make a man weep.

Alright you lot, while we’re still tits deep in post-Download Festival video editing, the world of metal hasn’t stopped – tomorrow night sees the quite frankly awesome line-up of Weedeater, Saviours, Black Cobra and Pombagira playing the Underworld in Camden. And we’ve still got a pair of tickets to give away.

Okay, so we know that a big chunk of the UK metal community is about to decamp to Castle Donington for a weekend of metal carnage at Download Festival, and will prbably spend most of next week in a post-booze haze of poverty and regret. Which is a) all the more reason to keep on partying through the pain, and b) save money while you do so by winning a pair of tickets to catch Weedeater and Saviours when they play in London next week. Oh yes.
