There are well over 250 bands performing over the August Bank Holiday weekend in both Reading and Leeds with dozens of comedians and DJs on top. That’s a lot of stuff to see and if you’re going to either site, you’ve only got a limited amount of time to see a maximum of ten or so bands per day. To help you out, here are a few Thrash Hits tips. Thrash Tips? Sorry.

Yeah, that’s one of the most metal photos ever, right? Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax may well be doing the rounds on the Continent (Poland done, Switzerland next, then Czech Republic probably reviewed RIGHT HERE ON THRASH HITS!!) but if you can’t be arsed flying Ryanair to a miserable European field, you can just watch them in the cinema. Seriously. #SRSLY?

UPDATED: We’ve made a couple of minor updates to our downloadable schedule following recent time and schedule changes, as well as the cancellation of one of the ‘secret’ bands.
We got our grubby mitts on the Download Festival 2009 stage times last night so we thought you might want to see them. We also thought you might want to do a ‘cut out & keep’ so we’ve made the times totally downloadable so you can print them out and stick ‘em in your pocket.
