This is what I’m talkin’ ’bout!!! There is nothing that pleases me more in the world that sticking on a ferociously played, solidly written and passionately conceived record – especially when the record in question comes from The Eyes of a Traitor, a young band hitting their stride in inspiring fashion.

Everyone here at Thrash Hits was beyond pleased with the line-up for the first-ever stage we’ve sponsored at a festival – the functionally-titled Hardcore Stage at Offset 2009. We so so damned chuffed that we didn’t bother to watch any other stage all weekend. Yeah, it kicked ass.

After giving their latest album, The Way Of All Flesh full marks late in 2008, it’s not exactly a revelation that we’re quite fond of the French death metal monsters, Gojira.

What was your highlight of 2008?
Releasing Nightmares Of The Ocean, the feature in Kerrang!, Ghostfest… there’s been a lot of really amazing things happen. We’ve also met some awesome bands this year, who have made life a lot more comfortable for us and we’ve made a lot of new friends. I guess that’s my highlight of 2008.
