Next Saturday, one of our favourite British bands of the last few years, Kerouac, will be playing their final live show. When they announced their decision to split back in April, we went and drew a big red circle around 07 July on our calendars, as there’s no way in Hell that we’re going to not be there, screaming till our lungs hurt, and giving the band the send off they so richly deserve. But until then, we figured the best use of this week’s Sunday Slaylist was to showcase just why we rate this band so highly.

Hevy Festival have added another 24 bands to their 2012 bill, including the winners of this year’s Redbull Bedroom Jam competition. They’ve also announced the provisional day splits for the bands they’ve announced so far, which give an indication of how many more bands the festival plans on announcing before it all kicks off at the start of August.
