If you hadn’t realised, we like beer. We like drinking it. We like drinking new versions of it. We like talking about it. That’s why, when the mighty Clutch released their own beer, we thought we’d talk to singer, Neil Fallon about beer. Talking about beer is the second most enjoyable beer-related activity after drinking the lovely, lovely stuff, after all. Mmmm. Beer.
Happy Hallowe’en, right? Metal titans (yes, we feel comfortable calling them that) Lamb Of God are set to release their sixth studio album on 23 January 2012 and it’s called Resolution. How metal is that title? And it’s coming out in January so it’s a New Year Resolution. Hahaha! HAHA! OK.
Prog metal supremos, TesseracT have announced their first ever headline tour of the UK this September and they’ll be taking prog metallers, Chimp Spanner and prog metallers, Uneven Structure on tour with them. Did someone say “prog metal”? Oh.
Remember when you woke up this morning and wondered, “What am I going to do this month?” We have the answer. You’re going to see Lavotchkin, Crocus and run,WALK! crush a venue somewhere near you. If you live in Sheffield, you’re going to see these three great British hardcore bands TONIGHT. Yeah, that’s right.
New Roadrunner Records signings, Alexisonfire are all set to co-headline the 2009 Eastpak Antidote Tour with Anti-Flag this coming October. Fiddly-fingered progressive emos, The Fall Of Troy and our favourite British band at the moment, The Ghost Of A Thousand are in support.
We can count on one hand the number of times Roadrunner Records has got it wrong when it comes to signing bands. That’s why we caught up with Philip Steadlür, lead singer and guitarist of American newcomers Steadlür for a chat
Thrash Hits verdict: We reckon that with their big choruses, classic guitar licks and clear ambition these boys are going to pick up a few fans on this trip to the UK and they’re going to do their damnedest to keep hold of every one of them. And it helps they’re dead sexy. It helps us, anyway. Errr…
You know that Slipknot are touring by now and that they just cancelled a show in Israel, but they’ve also released a new video. Check it out… Now, that’s our kind of party!

Slipknot – ‘Dead Memories’ lyrics
Sitting in the dark, I can’t forget.
Even now, I realize the time I’ll never get.
Another story of the Bitter Pills of Fate.
I can’t go back again.
I can’t go back again
But you asked me to love you and I did.
Traded my emotions for a contract to commit.
And when I got away, I only got so far.
The Other Me Is Dead.
I hear his voice inside my head
We were never alive,
And we won’t be born again.
But I’ll never survive with Dead Memories in my heart.
You told me to love you and I did.
Tied my soul into a knot and got me to submit.
So when I got away, I only kept my scars.
The Other Me Is Gone.
Now I don’t know where I belong.
We were never alive, and we won’t be born again.
But I’ll never survive
With Dead Memories in my heart.
Dead Visions in your Name.
Dead Fingers in my Veins.
Dead Memories in my Heart.
