EXES

Our verdict: This is a rock band! Formed from the ashes of Tropics – a band we were quite partial to – they have become slightly odder in their melodies and there seem to be more melodies on what evidence we’ve heard so far, which we are very much down with. The great news is that there’s still a lot of rocking to be done by Exes and so they’ve let us put their new song, ‘Reptilian’ up on this site. That’s bloody good. Those transatlantic metal innovators, Narrows, have gone and slipped out a preview for their forthcoming second full-length album, while we were busy throwing up Christmas decorations and generally being merry. ‘Absolute Betrayer’ showcases practically  everything we love about this band, whipped into three-minute package of technicolour goodness – and you can check it out after the jump.

Yeah, that’s right. November Coming Fire are playing in London on Friday night. Obviously, you knew that but we thought we’d tell you again anyway. Better news is that Throats and Tropics are supporting. Even ‘better’ news is that Thrash Hits Megamix is DJing before, inbetween and after the bands.
