For those unaware The Hell first emerged at the tail end of last year. An album of snotty, down tuned, aggro punk loaded with swearing released for free. Tongues soon started wagging as to who these mystery men actually were, the addition of a few familiar faces on the album cover only bolstered interest, and they soon became the hype band of the month, with various industry folk tweeting hyperbole over them.

Thrash Hits verdict: They might sound more like they’re from the Deep South of America rather than the English Home Counties but let that deter you not. When the riffs are as tights as the ones that Shotgun Riot are making, it doesn’t matter what country the band is from.

This is surely the best thing to have come out of Watford since John Barnes. This is Gallows’ debut album and it is fucking brilliant.

Orchestra Of Wolves is an old-school punk rock-fuelled hardcore monstrosity that is topped off quite fantastically by Frank Carter’s unholy story-telling racket. Plus, it’s all quite unmistakeably British.
